Default Third gen motor in a gsl-se

I have had this project on hold for a while.I am putting a 94 tt motor and auto tranny in a 84 GSL-SE . It will be for sale but atleast I am starting on it .The car was to be for my girlfriend who can not drive a stick .It is being done to match my 94 silver .The car is silver with red leather, the side molding are removed and all side marker, emblem and antenna holes are filled .Turbo II seats are in it now and third gen red leather seats like mine are in storage .I am making a subframe to mount the motor with the stock motor mounts that I modify ,see them on my venders page . I have a 3 inch SS down pipe in place with clearence at the frame .I have new lowering springs, new heavy sway bars ready to install .All the door and window rubber is here as well . I have every thing needed to put this together but the time . The reason to sell is that she bought a sports car .

"a sports car"? You're supposed to tell us what she got instead!

Default more picts

As the work continues things fall into place .The motor will be placed back about 4 inches and lower in the car .This should be a fast and fun car for someone to finish .

Cool setup. You keeping sequential twins? And an SLK is definitely a nice car, won't be as fast though which is probably just as well if your gf is anything like my wife.

I will sell it at any stage ,I need to sell it as soon as the motor is bolted in place .Then it can be finished the way the buyer likes. The plan was to match it to my car and show them together. Lay offs at work have changed the plan . This post is not a for sale post but to show what what I am doing besides working on other peoples cars .I will show more as things develop or it sells. The pictures of parts to be used are only a small part of what is there to use .Herblenny can not buy because he already has two or more of every thing .

Man David, Hate to hear the car is going. Let me know if you still need that item you called me about.
Guys, this is a clean gsl-se and at one time I really wanted it. If somethings in the family and job were better I would be trying to buy it and keep everything else I own.
Man, I was looking forward to driving this!!!!!!

Today I pulled the motor and tranny out to cut out the stock tranny mounts in the tunnel and sealed the gap between the cut and inner tunnel sheet metal. Now the motor /tranny can go father back in the frame than before .Next time I work on it I will pull off the oil pan and cut and section out the rear of the pan that will be sitting above the steering cross link. Doing this will allow the motor to sit lower in the car for better CG . I will be putting in my WORLD FAMOUS oil pan brace . I have already cut a set of my nylon motor mounts down in thickness so the sub frame will have good ground clearence .The mounts that will hold the sub frame/ motor mount is welded in place .I had a pro come to the shop and do that for me .An important part to be sure. The next job will be to make the sub frame and the new tranny mount .The designs are in my head and should work out very well .Then the motor will be bolted in .
