Phil, what caused that scratch? To answer your question as long as it isnt a high spot you can run it, may not be ideal but it will run. You see very slight difference in compression on used irons unless they are just extremely worn. I dont remember the clearances on the renesis but they have a much larger clearance from the factory than the 13b. Landers has a good bit of experience with these engines and I am sure he can chime in.

I think its caused by a blown apex seal. The front rotor housing is shot and all three apex seals from the front rotor are gone.

I bought a spare rotor housing from Kevin.. and I think its useable but just wanted to get some opinions. I'm just wanting a spare motor in hand just in case if mine decides to go..

How many miles do you have the current motor Phil? Ya know you're covered 8yr/100k on the motor?

My currently motor has been replaced before and my car now has 120K.

But the engine only has about 30-40K... I don' t think they will replace it.

No, your out of warranty. I forgot you had that many miles. You could always bridge the extra motor, there are some great things being talk about over on the 8club about a few bridged Rennys. I'm looking for a short block to start playing with, I've got 45k on this motor, 76k on the car.

Bridged Renny? Hmm.. What are some of the benefits??

One thing I noticed was the side seal clearance. That thing has about 15 thousands of play.. Do you know why??

And can anyone have specs on this engine??

I haven't been keeping a close eye on the ins and outs but it has been done and was successful.
