DIY: Battery Relocation
This is not mine. I stumbled across a link to it on the other site and bookmarked it since I wasn't ready to relocate my battery. I'm not sure who the author is, but also unwilling to search the other forum to figure it out.

It was written by moconnor and is a very good write up.
Note that you can use 4 gauge cable and run it inside the wiring loom under the drivers side scuff plate. Anything larger would have to run outside the loom or using the route he took. Dan |

It is a great write-up. Everyone is always claiming you have to use 0 or 2 gauge wire. I too use a quality 4 guage wire that is ran through the hole on the passenger side of the firewall. Make for a very clean install. I have had 0 charging issues and I use the sealed Westco Miata battery as well. Here is a picture or mine:
One of these days when I convert my interior to black, I will paint the bottom of the clear trim piece black and make it look even better.
