FC water pump housing?
I noticed the RX8's/FC's both have water pumps that rotate clockwise and my FD's water pump is opposite. I presume this has to do with the routing of the main belt for the air pump which required the FD water pump to be driven from the backside of the belt.
Now, I'm planning to remove my air pump soon for a single-turbo swap but am concerned with the smaller contact patch with the backside of the belt you get when you do that. I know I could install an idler pulley, but I'm wondering if it is at all possible for an 13B-REW to accept a FC or RX8 water pump/water pump housing and run the water pump on the normal side of the belt? |

you'd need to run a FC alternator pulley and crank pulley. FC waterpumps slip at higher RPM's sp you'd need either a dual pulley/belt system or a Yoohoo (I think) belt.
