Default 3rd gen headlights

Does anyone know if they sell some kind of kit to put the 3rd gen headlights in the fc? i know you would have to cut part of the bumper out. the only thing i could find thats close is the re amemiya 2000 front bumper.....but its like $1,100....

No.
Why would you want to anyways?
FD headlights would require a whole new hood!

It was an australian company? I know RRtec was working on one too.

Lol, yeah go look over there and see what you find. Lol.

Classicauto has a front end kit that uses similar headlights (cpracing? Which is also NLA) But with a different bumper than my car.

Maybe it's time someone else did a custom front end......I wanns see fd flush light kits on an FC.

Yeah....once you looked past their bad business practices and focused mainly on the parts and prices they weren't too bad.

I wish I had gotten a hold of their triangulated bar. I still have an installation pdf for their headlights...somewhere.

which ones are you going with?

Take plenty of pics and get a nice build thread going.

I'll take a picture for you today that will make your brain hurt with regards to putting 3rd gen headlights/motors in an FC

PS: You won't need to change much. Just everything they meet Unless you're talking about just taking the headlamp housing (not the pop up assembly) and fitting it into the FC assembly. That would be feasible.

Yes, there's no bumper..........or hood. But the inside edge of the cover is lined up *approx* where the edge of the hood would be.

So, the fender, the back of the hood, and possibly inside edge of the hood, as well as the bumper would all have to be added to in order for it to fit half decent. If you're fine with a gap to the fender like you see in the pic - then I guess you don't need to touch it

Next, that I couldn't get a decent pic of, is the side profile. The FD cover is contoured more then the FC front, so either the middle will stick up, or the front and rear edges will be low.

Anything's doable, but this is pretty involved.

Classic: how does it fit?

Might as well get an FD frond end do THE whole FD front end swap....anything at everything is doable when you throw enough money at it.

Also note that you won't be using the motors if you're going to use the flush headlights out in the market. Just gotta fab the mounting brackets ans make it all line up.
