Hello everyone, I guess I'll make my first post here.

I bought my 93 VR FD in December 2000 as a Christmas present to myself, one of the advantages of being single with no kids. I have liked rotary engines since the mid 70's when my father had a Mazda dealership and I got to drive RX2's, RX3's, and my favorite (till the RX7) an RX4 GTR. The FD remained stock for a few years while I learned to drive it, then, as things wore out, they were replaced with better things and the reliability mods were started. My coolant seals finally went south in 06 with 90,000 miles on the clock. At that time, I ask Chadwick if he would like to do a rebuild of my motor, if I could wait till after the Autocross season ended, he would. When the time came, he offered me the motor that was in his ASP car because he wanted to build a new motor for his car and move to SM2 (http://www.rotarycarclub.com/showthread.php?t=243). Since there is no emission testing in Kentucky, I couldn't accept fast enough. So here's a brief list of what's been done:

gasket matched intake runners
2mm Apex seals
underdrive pullys
550cc/1200cc injectors
Fuel Pump (Walbro 255l)
block off plates
PFC
boost guage
down pipe
high-flow cat
RB dial tip cat back
Koni adjustable shocks with H&R coil-overs
M2 CF airbox
Knightsports boost controller
Tripoint adjustable front sway bar (.188)
RB rear sway bar
unobtaniun bushings

I still need:
SMIC
17 inch wheels with "big fat honkin tires"
a job

I'm sorta the quiet type so I probably won't post much, only 80 post in 5 years.
I don't know much about mechanicin a rotary, but I do love to drive it
