Default spring install

So I got a new set of Tein S-techs and want to install them on my 8. I have never done a any sort of suspension work before and would very much like to install them myself.

Can anyone give me some advice? I have found a couple guides online, but none with pictures or diagrams and without those I fell a bit lost, at least with no starting point.

can't really help much as a spring install would be a fairly lengthy writeup. Only advice I can give you is you might want to look into renting some spring compressors from autozone or something. Make sure you don't tighten everything down until you get the car lowered back down and the weight loads the springs, and you probabley should look into a suspension alignment afterwards as alot of times when you mess with suspension things will be a little out of wack once its all together and your tires will suffer horribly for it. Other than that I wish you luck and you should snap some pictures if you do it, this section can always use some good DIY articles.

Make sure you put the spring compressors on before you take off the big nuts on top (assuming they're set up like the FCs).

Might I make the suggestion of taking a look at the Mazda RX-8 Service Material? IN perticular the Workshop Manual. You can find the links in the Tech Documents sticky along with a few others things.

I suggest you start by looking at the Suspension documents.

In case your lazy like a lot of us, here's the link: Workshop Manual (Online) / Mirrowed Site
