Default I drove my car.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THREE YEARS! I finished up all the little fixes on my TII swap, and for the first time in three years, I drove my car around my neighborhood. I was laughing the whole time, I felt like screaming at people while driving it. It felt really good to drive, I really missed it!

It runs smooth, boosts fine, rides nice. I did notice a little stumbling at 3k, OH NOES! I guess I gotta go check my grounds. Now all that's left is putting the interior back in and figuring out how in the hell I'm going to pass emissions!

I'm so excited!

Corvette smog pump and magnaflow cat. Smog pump runs at lower than 3K rpm.

Good luck.

not just grounds, check the TPS and timing.

Tehmonkay said it right: stock cat/replacement cat + vette pump = smoggable. PM Jrat to see if he can get the alcohol trick posted over here too.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the alcohol trick, but I don't feel like risking it. Didn't know about the vette pump. Which vette? I've got a cat on the RB exhaust.

Edit: I googled "corvette air pump" and the first link was installing the air pump into an FC. Ha!

I didn't expect my swap to take three years! Haha. I'm in school full time (graduate next month) so I had to put it to the side several times. I hope to have it on the road relatively soon.

I'm going on 5 years. Right now TRUSVILLE MAZDA IS SCREWING ME OVER. I've been waiting for a month for my damn turbo and UIM gaskets!

It's the last time I let PRICE affect my purchases. I'd rather pay full price and get the parts I need in a week than 1/2 off with a month of waiting!

yeah, I know. Only problem is that I need to get my car race worthy before I can sign up. Or sign up for NASA first (without my running car) and somehow get licensed so I can send the info in to Mazda to get the discount in order to finish my car so I can race.

How much were your turbo gaskets from Trussville? I ordered mine from Mazdatrix for like $120 shipped and got them like 3 or 4 days later.

That much for turbo gaskets? Jeez, I think I paid $30 total for OEM mani-turbo and turbo-dp gaskets from a private seller. I'd say look for some other sellers.

I had to get the engine-manifold gasket which was a bazillion dollars. For whatever reason, it wasn't on the motor after the rebuild. Neither was the manifold-turbo gasket.

naw man, I wish they were cool gaskets. oil return and oil feed gaskets along with the UIM gasket and the transmission drain and fill plugs. Local dealer wanted 2x the $ for the same parts but, like I said, it wasn't worth the down time. ONE MONTH and counting I received a package but I have to pick it up at UPS. I'm hoping it's my gaskets but I can't know until Monday.
