C10 454 conversion help?
I'm picking up a 454 this weekend. So cheap, I couldn't pass it up. I don't see how I could fit it into my first gen, so it's going into my truck. I know the engine should fit, but I'm not sure what parts I need to do the swap. Any ideas?

I have swapped BB chevs into cars that a SB once sat withno real issues except clearing headers and sterring. I would think any conversion should follow the same as swapping an SB, these kits are readily available. I even had a 427 in an FC, had iI installed an electric waterpump I could have made it streetable.

I'm not sure but the trans bellhousing may have to be changed and of course motor mounts and other minor things.

I was wrong in my previous reply according to a friend at work. The pattern on the bellhousing for SB and BB is the same. He was working on a BB swap into his Blazer before gas prices doubled. Good luck with the teardown/rebuild/swap.
