Default Really odd 1984 13B request

My dad is an old mazda tech, had rx7s in the yard for years when I was growing up, etc.
My fiance is a mechanic who worked on rotary engines growing up and is now a master mechanic in his own right.

Neither one will back down from a bet they made and neither one will accept the others proof.
So.
I'm hoping someone has a 1984 rx7 gsl-se with the 13B, with a production date in either 83 or 84 that will take a photo of your vin sticker on the door jam so I can finally get them to agree that the 13B was produced prior to 85.
Pllleeeeaaaassseeeee! I need to settle this argument so I don't have to hear about it anymore! Haha!

Default 13b

I am probably an older Mazda tech than your dad. I can assure them both that the RX4 had a 13B in the 1974 model year in the US. The engine was significantly changed in 1976. The 13B was used all models of US RX4's as well as the Cosmo and Rotary Pickup. Took a few years off from the US and reappeared in the 1984 model year in certain RX7 models.
