They came with a back seat in the Japanese market. Pretty much useless from what I hear, but they did it for tax purposes. The four seater was considerably cheaper to register than a 2 seater.

Need to know anyway. Get her out on an AutoX circuit, hooked for life. Be prepared to give up driving your car, and spending most of your time fixing it for her.

The rear seats are useless they are just like Porsche 911 seats, they will hold a small dog or a small bag thats about it. If your looking for a car that does have a rotary and hold 4 people you would need a RX-2,3,4,or 5 they are actually coupes, or sedans and even some came as wagons.

the good part about the rear seats is that your car insurance goes down , its now classified as sport touring rather than a sports car (like they did for the porsche 928 ) They are useless but they look pretty cool .

Here are some pictures of my australian rx7 4 seater with rear seat up, it can also be folded down.
Your children best be under 13y.o of age to fit comfortably in the rear. |
