Hi from Norway!
Hey guys,
My name is Nikolai, 21 years old, from Norway and I just bought myself an FD now after almost 7 years of dreaming and studying of the car, the Wankel engine and everything around it ![]() It's running really nice right now, and I intend to keep it fairly like it is now for this summer, and then hopefully doing some reliability mods and a few cosmetic changes next winter ![]() ![]() |

Very pretty car. Welcome. I bet it's a handful on that snowy surface though.

Thanks! Haha, I bet! Actually haven't driven it on the ice/snow yet. Transported it on a hanger from Stavanger, which is on the west coast of Norway, to Oslo (east Norway). About 8 hours to drive each way.
In Norway you need to have your car go through a basic check every 2 years, and on the last test before I bought it it had a few minor things that needed to be fixed. (That's partly why the previous owner couldn't sell it and it ended up going fairly cheap to me) The battery wasn't properly attached, one of the headlights needed some adjustment as it got stuck when popping up some times, and a couple of bushings needed to be replaced. So I'm going to fix those things, alongside changing the sparkplugs, oil, coolant etc. this weekend when I get the car into a garage/workshop a friend of mine has and get it approved and ready for the summer ![]() It also only has summertires, so would be crazy to drive it right now ![]() I've only started it and let it warm up for a few minutes a few times, and the idle seems perfect, started every time even in several minus degrees C. The guy who helped me transport it looked over it before i bought it as well, he has tons of experience with Rx-7's. Owns a couple himself and is working on a 4-rotor project right now as well! |

Kult med flere norsker innepå ett utenlandsk forum da gutt!
Missunner deg for å ha en wankel-bil! O.O Haha, håper du legger ut prosjekt-tråd eller lignende når du begynner på modifiseringa etterhvert! ![]() |

Welcome! I hope you have another car for the icy roads. LOL I can vouch that they don't handle too well on snowy/icy surfaces.

Short video of my beauty filmed with my phone from this weekend, newly cleaned! Didn't push the rev all the way up as it wasn't fully warm yet, but I have to say wow... When pushed, this thing sounds orgasmic. It has some cheap Chinese rip-off single turbo by the looks of it, from the previous owner.. but that thing can really create some power! Even on a low boost setting. First priorities now will be putting on some spacers on these wheels till i can afford the perfect fitted wheels for it, new brake calipers and pads, a new air/fuel ratio gauge, a boost gauge and hopefully a better radiator soon ![]() I'll probably make a more proper build thread after this summer, once I manage to gather up some money again and get a nice place for it nearby to do some work on it ![]() |
