Anyone selling FB or RX-8 in FL or south GA?
My brother lives in Fernandina Beach and he told me today that he's looking into getting either an FB (wanting a GSL-SE) or an RX-8 (one of the later models that are more reliable). I told him I'd look tonight but I got caught up in working on the car and I need to get to bed haha, so I figured I'd ask first and I'll look tomorrow.
He had an 82 RX-7 that my Dad gave him when we were young, and he's looking to get this and drive it for a bit before giving it to my nephew. Not that anyone cares, just thought I'd add that haha. Thanks! |

^Thanks! If you want you can just give me his number or email or whatever and I can do the legwork.
David, he's not really looking for a project, otherwise I'd jump on that. He is planning on giving this car to his son in a couple years when he turns 16 so he doesn't want anything fast either, but fun to drive is OK. For now he's looking for something to drive to work and back. I hope he's not looking for great gas mileage haha, but I figure since he used to drive one he should already know that's not part of this equation haha. |

I have an FD and I KNOW that's not what he's looking for HAHA. He's looking for something that isn't very fast and not very expensive haha. He will be giving this car to his son in a couple years, that's the main reason he doesn't want it to be very fast. It also doesn't have to be in great condition. I also think he's leaning towards a 1st gen, but he said he would look into RX-8s too. For those prices he will need to wait until early next year though. Thanks for the links!

Agreed, "fast" is relative, but what I mean is he's not looking for FD/turbo fast, but NA fast like an RX-8 and FB is a different matter. And yes, any rotary can get someone in trouble, hell almost any engine can get someone in trouble, aside from a Prius or something probably haha. Besides, I was talking about it being unsafe, like how a turbo car can get away from a teenager faster than an NA car. And not only that, an RX8 and FB are more reliable than an FD, which is also what he's looking for...i.e., not a project car.
He works in Jacksonville btw. |
