WTB Microtech stuff
Hi guys, I got a Microtech LT10 (Interceptor X) that I was finally going to install but when I got to the tuner, an issue came up that the computer needed a special dongle to connect it to the microtech in order for it be able to get tuned. I went onto Microtech's website to see what it was and was wondering if anyone on here had one that I could buy so I can tune my car. I thought it was just a regular serial port plug in but I guess its a different pin set up or something so if anyone has any knowledge on these or knows of anyone that may be interested in selling it, please let me know.
On Microtech's website, it comes with a CD which I am not sure if I need because I just downloaded their software off of their website. I would also be interested in purchasing the hand controller and the ignition enhancer (I do not know if I need it as I have a BHR igntion upgrade). I am relatively new to the whole computer tuning thing so any help/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I assume this is for an RX-8....the dongle is Microtechs bullshit answer on how to save maps and interface to a serial connector
You don't need the X4 ignitor box for the BHR coils...but you do need to adjust the dwell in the tune to 5ms..... |

Thanks, Dannobre! Yes, it is for a RX-8. I guess I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and purchase the dongle brand new. I'll deffinetly keep in mind to adjust the dwell. Anything else I should know about?
