Default rpm cutting out

Just happily got my car back and breaking in the engine right? It just so happens that at a random time when I was coming to a complete stop because of a yellow my car suddenly shuts off. Everything in the car is still working though... odd, I think to myself. I try to start the car again but what I noticed is that the RPM gauge isn't bouncing up like its supposed to be. Thanks to a tip from a buddy I checked the fuses to see if any were blown from the engine. None... So after sitting on the side of the road for a bit I try again to turn on the car and this time the RPM gauge comes back up and it starts again! This happened to me 3 times today randomly throughout the day. Could it be that the injectors happen to cut off fuel? help will be much appreciated.

You have an electrical problem in the car.
Sorry to be so generic, but there is no way to narrow down the problem without a thorough diagnosis.
With that said, it's a PITA to troubleshoot these kinda problems.

The tach dropping is an effect of the problem - not a cause.
It's normally for the tach to not work like that when you abruptly kill the power to the stock ECU.

Could be the CAS with a bad connection. Drive around, shakes loose, no RPM signal means no start. Barely gets the connection, car starts. Intermittent problems like that tend to be a bad connection somewhere in the wiring. Just a quick 4:55 a.m. thought.
