A/C Thermoswitch Harness Connector '93
Posting this here because a local response may be better for obvious reasons.
I'm trying to locate where my harness connector went to on the A/C thermoswitch pictured. I know it's a PITA to pop off your kick panel, drop the glove box, and get out the camera phone, but if any of you are hard-core, I'd have no complaints. If anyone wants to drop by my house with their functioning 3rd gen A/C, I would only need to pop your kick panel and take a look at the harness wiring. It will only take me a minute! I know this sounds unorthodox ( who in the hell loses a harness connector? ), but I'm trying to not spend thousands on getting my A/C working. The TS isn't the only issue but it's the current one stopping my progress. Thanks! jerij (and , yes, it's my 1st post....lurking doesn't count) |

A shout-out to SOS Auto in Smyrna! They "found" the TS harness connector and now I have power to my A/C system.
It was taped up in the wire loom in the dash. Apparently a relplacement dash/electricals in a past life had left it taped up at delivery. I still have an issue of a "locked-up" compressor and a leak "somewhere", but I have 12 volts going to where I need it! jerij |

Thanks Mike(?). D Chadwick at TweakIt did them when he did other odds/ends back last year.
I think he's gonna finish off my A/C when he gets the chance. I really haven't been able to drive the car hardly at all this summer. It's been much too hot and the heat is killer on an old fart. Bruce |

Well, I know you guys are DGRRin' it but I've got A/C on my mind!
Almost decided to get an A/C/Auto repair shop in Laverne do my A/C system. They are gonna have to use R134a to find my leak. I've got a functional compressor and various O-rings and odds/ends hoses/lines and drier. They may need to get some various other parts to get it running but at least I'll have some air. Once they get the system patent, I'll be in a better position to drain/vacuum/Freeze 12 it myself.... jerij (Have fun at DRGG!) |
