Should work just fine. I just did that exact same thing with my Rx-4 engine. I put S5 NA rotors into an early 4 port engine. I did use RB one piece carbon apex seals though, but I'm sure OEM ones would work fine as well. Good luck with your build.

I'll let you know in a week or two when I get it running. I'm still waiting on the clutch to get here so I can put it all together. I don't forsee any issues with it. The thicker apex seals were used in the older engines just for durability as far as I know.

Yeah, it works just fine. Lots of people do it. Just make sure you use the correct counterweights and everything, and you're good.

Apparently there is a difference in the troichiod shape of the rotor housing between the generations. However, a lot of people have done it with no issues, myself included.

Huh, interesting. I wonder what the difference is, and between what models of engines. I should have compared my old school housings with some FC housings I have laying around before I built my engine. It can't be that big of a difference.
