front wheels/tires- will these fit?
I found an OK deal on some centerline wheels, I just don't know if they will fit /o rubbing the fender.
wheels are 15x4 with 1.625" backspace (i think that's -22mm offset) and I already have 25x4.5-15 M/T front runners.... but my question is: will they rub the fenders? I'm OK with them sticking out a little, but not OK with them rubbing, for obvious reasons. |

A 225/40/18 will fit with no rubbing which is 25.1" tall, so height shouldn't be an issue. Shoot a PM to Josh (he's on the Top 25 list with the LS1 FC in OR) as he has a 245 or 255 up front with rolled fenders, so he might know more as far as the back-spacing or height right at the lip.

according to an offset calculator, the outside of a 4" wheel with -22 offset sits almost the same as a mustang gt wheel (8", +30). so that sounds like a good fit.
unfortunately offset is not directly derivable from backspacing, since the 4" doesnt include the lip of the rim. do you have stock suspension in front? if so, its a really close call (how far will it compress on the brakes?)

I've seen one FC running 2.25" BS and it looked great.
For suspension I have stock springs up front with KYB adjustable shocks. I'll likely be running the shocks set to full soft up front at the track. I forgot to mention that I'll be running the NA brakes for clearance as well. I think I'll pass on these for now & look for a little more backspace. |
