Maybe get shiney paint this time? Shiney bits are good.

Update: paint round 2!
Brought a fender to the paint supply shop to have it matched. The color isn't perfect but it's close enough. Under fluorescent lights you can tell it's a little darker still, but under the sun it looks damn near spot on. As with last time props to Brian for laying down the paint. |

It's been a while, but we put the holiday weekend to good use!
I got my built/blue printed trans from Speed 1 and got it all cleaned/painted and ready to install. Did a lot of powder coating this weekend as well. Once the ABS is installed you will pretty much never see this penetration plate, but the little details make me happy, and I really like how this came out. Modified (to give clearance for wiring harness) and powder coated ABS bracket. Got the tranny, brake booster, master cylinder, ABS, and lines installed then it was ready to put the engine in! Looks so small in there! As usual I gotta thank Brian for all the help, hard work, and long hours! Last edited by RXtacy; 01-17-2017 at 11:21 AM.. |

Got the radiator and oil coolers installed. Unfortunately I'm going to have to change the position of the AN fittings on the radiator. I didn't account for the AC compressor when I mocked it up Two steps forward one step back, but what can you do. The brace is there to simulate hood clearance.
Finished the intercooler cold side piping (added Tial BOV, and welded the vanjen clamp on the Greddy elbow) and installed the intercooler. I have to say I really like the way it sits and looks without the bumper and with all the heat exchangers staring you in the face. So raw and mechanical! Temporarily insane.

I have to say that, again, I love this color. The rest just looks like a whole lot of hassle and a waste of time.
For real, though. This build is top notch and I am ready to see it operating under its own power... and in person. Great looking build and the work going into it shows through.
