I think turbosquirrel here on the forums is running that clutch. Good solid clutch, probably not necessary unless you are shooting for 500+rwhp.

Great product...I've installed and used many of them with great results! Although I've never actively abused one of them at the drag strip I know people who have with good results. I also would recommend getting the carbon disc twin plate if you choose the Exedy unit. PM me if I can help, as I am an Exedy dealer.

I've been talking to a few people about my setup, Howard Coleman has been my go to guy. I'm shooting for 550rwhp, some street driving and a few track days a year.

the facts of life are there is no 500 rwhp FD clutch that will hold up and be a pleasant experience in the real world.

fortunately the Exedy double disc is a win win. i have run one for four years so i know from experience. since the double disc has double the frictional area it uses less spring presure so it is an easier pedal even though it will hold 700 rwhp.

it is easy to drive. (cerametallic).

my clutch after 4 years shows almost no wear.

expensive but you will love it and hate all the alternatives.

All I can say is the ACT 6 puck unsprung is very easy to drive. I can not understand why anyone would complain. For the $500 price, you can not beat it. Mine feels better than the SPEC stage 1 I had in my 911.

Exedy Twin Disc. From experience a ACT extreme 3 was being destroyed by my car. I upgraded to the exedy twin disc and I could not be happier. It grabs VERY WELL (I have the rear ends to prove it) and is easier to drive in traffic than the ACT.

Im going to agree with Zonblitz on that one, ACT is a good clutch, but the exedy is a favorite among people who have used both. I drive my FD on the ACT 6puck (currently installed) and then a friend bought the Exedy twin and i would rather drive with that any day.

Check out the 2 pages of clutches we have to get a better idea of what you are looking for. There are a lot of specs in there for you to look over too.
if there is any further information you need let me know and i can get it for you. I can also work on pricing for you, i give discounts to all RCC members so please if you would like to buy a clutch do not order through the site, PM me first.

So the ACT is $500 what does the Excedy run 1k +? I am sure the Excedy has a better feel and I am sure there are many more that even beat the Excedy but we are talking about the BEST clutch for the price.

Don, are you still looking for a clutch?? I just found out, my ACT spare clutch I have is infact a 6 puck.. If you want it, you could have it for $325 with pressure plate and 6 puck. Its used but in decent shape!

Thanks Phil, but I've already ordered a brand new one, besides I think it's best to have a part like a clutch to come with a warranty.
