Good job on the vert!
Is the S4 sec. fuel rail the only option if I want to go for another FPR or is it possible with the S5 rail too?
I guess you have alot more fuel than really needed with the 4x1000`s, did it make it hard to tune?

Its really not possible with the s5 rail as the FPR isn't removeable. With an s4 rail you get threaded ends with only the addition of a few washers to space it upward. With the right '90deg fittings you can lose the banjo bolts and have a slightly freer flowing rail. Replacing the FPR with one on the firewall would also just be simply easier at this stage as well.

The 4 x ID1000 actually made it easier to tune. FFE provided me with the inj dead time table which accounts for different flow in certain situations. Compared to the stock 550s, I have a MUCH smoother idle with very little AFR change (varies between .1).

How close are the rx8 brackets to FC brackets? or did you unbolt the Rx8 seats and throw them on the FC rails?

PS: I like it!

If you look at the pics you can see the amount of adapting necessary. The FC brackets were removed from the sliders and bolted to the floor. The Rx8 rails were removed, all brackets and locating studs were removed, and the rails were reinstalled to the seats with a flat surface on the bottom (sliders intact). The Rx8 rails are almost two inches wider than the fc rails. In the pictures you can see some square stock that was used to "build up" the FC rails upward and outward to get the correct height. The rx8 seats were then placed on the new "brackets", lined up, and the sliders were then welded to them. The driver's side is relatively basic and consists of two rails as described, but the passenger seat is much more tricky. The seat height is determined by the trans tunnel and mounts, which is why the brackets had to be "built up" to match. It also needed slightly more creative welding to bolt to the factory locations. In the picture you can see that the FC section on the passenger inner bracket was welded to the front of the rail to provide the correct location. The entire rail basically sits on the trans tunnel. It makes more sense in person. Also, the passenger seat is sliding only, but the driver seat is power adjustable and the seat bottom can be lowered quite far. A 6'2" person has sat in both seats with his hair touching the top, but his hair is/was rather pointy. I'm 5'8" and have plenty of room. When a tall person sits in the car I just tell them to put the top down. Infinite headroom.

yeah I'm 6'4" headroom is tight enough as it is (with the helmet on) once I delete the sunroof. shouldn't have an issue.

this reminds me of when I put Sentra Spec V seats in my old 240sx hatch.
