2009 DGRR Caravan leaving from ATL on Friday, April 17th

Who is leaving on Friday to drive up to TN for DGRR? Hi Rotorheads,

We will not be meeting at Jeffrey's first. We will just meet off of I-985.

We are going to leave Atlanta from the north side. We are meeting up at the Wal-Mart Parking lot off of I-985N and S.R.20. There are gas stations and places to eat there.

Directions:
From Atlanta drive on I-85N, (once you are north of I-285), you drive about 14 miles, then stay to the left and continue on I-985N.
Drive on I-985N to the first exit;
Which is Exit 4, Buford Drive (S.R.20);
Turn Right onto Buford Drive (S.R.20);
Then Turn Left at the 1st light;
Drive down into the Wal-Mart parking lot on the left.
We will be parked out away from the building.

We will want to head out of there before 12:30PM to drive north of Gainesville, GA to pick up two more people. Then go up S.R. 28. That will take us all the way to where we split off for the last couple of miles to the Nantahala Village. We may stop at Nantahala Village, then on over Fontana Damn.

Bah, I would ride up with ya'll but im leaving thursday morning and meeting up with the Alabama guys in Chattanooga for lunch then over the nantahala. Oh well.

Hopefully ill be in the Rx7 but who knows its apart right now so I may be in the Rx2.

OK Kevin Mc in Macon, drive up to Suwanee to meet us at noon. Then we drive on up I-985 to 1st Exit (not sure of number yet) to meet Crit and Billy. Then somewhere in Gainesville to meet up with Brandon and Donnie.

We should arrive at Nantahala Village before 4PM.

Can some of you guys I mentioned chime in, so we can get a better time and some exits of place to meet up with you?

The first exit on I-985 should be 91 for Mall of Ga (Buford). The next exit after that is Powder Springs I believe. I will be there at noon then.

Can we plan on meeting at some crossroad that is on the way for all of us? I want to end up there around 4pm at the damn on Friday. I know the guys up in Gainesville, GA want to join up with us too. What is your route Mason?

from spartanburg, we are going through ashville nc and jump on i40 for a minute and its a few exits down(cant remember off the top of my head) then i believe its about 40 minutes to the village from the highway. what about you guys?

Looks like you may be coming across U.S.74 /19. So looks like the first intersecting place will be Lauada, NC. The first chance to meet up would be Nantahala Village. If you want to meet there, say between 3:30 and 4:00PM, then everyone could drive on over to Fontana Damn together on S.R. 28. That would be cool.
