285's on an FC (yah, i did it)

I'm sure all of you were wondering "whats the biggest tire i can stuff under the front of my FC, without using those godaweful 60mm tripoint flares?"
the answer - Corksport 30mm fenders. Unlike most fenders for the FC, CS fenders give an honest 30mm, maybe more (i didnt actually measure).

Tein Flex coilovers, 2.5 degrees camber

Drivers side:
18x9.5 +15 Enkei RPF1
285/30/18 Kumho V710

Passenger side:
17x9 +24 Bullitts
255/40/17 Advan A032-R

the last v710 pic is with the tire compressed some (rolled up onto a curb). as you can see it tucks just fine. The tire will actually hit the frame rail before the fender. perfect fit!

btw the 285s in the back (on the same wheel) require a serious fender pulling, or overfenders. with my rear ride height even with the front as pictured, it doesnt rub.

17x9 +24 is a common setup for FC's (cuz mustang wheels are so cheap), and 255 is commonly advertized as the max tire for a fiberglass fender.
thought i'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and show how well the corksport fender covers a 255 mounted on 17x9 +24.

i had my springs out today, so i thought i'd take more pics.
i jacked the tire up into the wheel well to see how much travel i really had.
the corner of the tire is just barely touching the fender (i think). kinda hard to tell. should have passed a string over it or something...

i run Kuhmo V700 285/35-17's in the front and Kuhmo V700 335/35-17's in the rear on some Simmons of Austraila Alta's. by the way the Enkei RPF1's look great

update-
the "slammed" pics above show where the tire sits with the damper fully compressed. what it doesnt show is if it will rub while cornering..
at the last autocross i put zip ties on the dampers and ran my race.
no rubbing at all, and when i checked the ties they were squished up into the camber plates (full travel). it was a really bumpy course...

in short- fitment works for cornering.
