Possible TPS needs adjustment look under "3800 RPM hesitation"
I would also do the following if u have not recently: spark plugs (OEM NGK) plug wires (OEM NGK) fuel filter Could be bad secondary injectors. Let us know. |

Make double sure that your plug wires are working and that they are in the correct order. T1 is the top (trailing) plug on the front rotor (closest to the front of the car). L1 is the bottom (leading) plug on the front rotor, and vice versa.
I know a couple of people who have made this mistake, one guy even went as far as buying a spark amplifier before the problem was realized.

Did you ever get anywhere with this? I seem to remember some people having trouble with the secondary injectors firing because of either not having the injector resistors when they needed them or having them when they didn't need them. I believe it has something to do with the year of the ECU as to whether you need the resistor pack or not.

I regrounded a wire going to the ECU (#10 something maybe?) and it fixed my 3800 hesitation in my 87. Did it at the ECU to one of its mounting bolts. Grounding the same wire at the block didn't work. someone has a write-up.

Also check the auxilary (5th and 6th) ports to make sure they're opening.
