First of all, the position of the fitting is in the wrong place.
The original location of the fitting for the boost sensor is at the small bump in the upper left "corner" of the plate.
If you're not exactly in this position, you're not going to get any reference to the intake.

Second, you can use a T for the BOV, but the BOV *NEEDS* to be on the "straight" leg of the T.
You cannot put the BOV on the 90-degree leg - this does not allow for a strong enough vacuum signal to trigger the BOV.

ok i decided to try the T fitting again and yes before i did have it set up that way and i lost pressure to the bov...not just "here say"

i tightened everything with zipties and double checked everything and it is working fine now. i guess the last time i had it set up this way something was loose.

now to pull off the block off plate and weld it up.

You could just drill and tap the plenum for like a 1/8" pipe thread and run a pipe thread to 1/8" barb fitting and run it off that.
