Default Rx8 seats in a FC?

Okay, i know this can be done, but my question. HOW is it done? Do i need the drivers and passengers? a mismatch? etc. Also, does any know what the end results are like in terms of seating height in comparision to the stock Turbo II seats?

From what I understand they sit higher. But that can be remedied by making new brackets or something. I've seen them in quite a few FC's, but no write up.

I would like to get rid of my Corbeaus and get some RX-8 seats, so I am interested.

Yes, I have also wanted to replace my TII seats with those of an Rx-8. I have found many on Ebay. I have not bought them in fear of them not fitting my 86 rx7. If any one has pics of this sort of Mod, I would love to check them out.

They do not drop in.
You need to custom fabricate an adapter bracket to make everything work.
I do not know of anyone who offers a prefab bracket that you can buy.
Basically, you're looking at a custom job.
The drivers side should be pretty easy, but the passenger side is a pain in the ass.

If these are R3 seats personally I would pass (not feeling them to much)

I love the RX8 seats but from what I understand they are VERY HEAVY seats..

Not sure if I would want to go that route..

but I do like these..

maybe black on black, or black on grey or black on red though..

and with MANUAL seats no power options for me please.

I don't think so.
If I'm going to go through all that trouble, I'd like to get some weight savings.
I doubt most OEM seats would weigh less than the stock FC seats.

While I would love to have some RX-8 seats in my FC for they way they look, their weight and the fact that they sit too high make it not worth while.

I'll keep my Corbeau's

I'm looking for 2 passenger black RX8 cloth seats with no power anything of buttwarmers. Should be light.
