Water Injection Treatment Flooded my engine.
Hey, so after learning where to inject the water into the engine I decided I'd give it a shot. At first I didn't hole the throttle open enough to keep it running, so I tried again. Then after doing it successfully the idle was wack like it was trying to die then it did and now it won't start. I figured it was flooded so I have changed plugs which they were wet still no go. so I tried the extended method where you inject oil into the housings still no go.. I'm charging the battery now to see if maybe that'll help so the oil will just have to wait until tomorrow. because I have to go to work soon. Hopefully someone can help me if it still doesn't start next time I try.
I still have my apex seals or atleast it was making even whooshes. The car is pointing down hill a bit but I can't roll start it because there is no room. it's an 89 vert. I think maybe some of the water isn't leaving the engine since it's down hill. but now that I think about it wouldn't leaving the bottom plugs out blow the water around and out?

Also, if this is an N/A and depending on how long/how much water was put in, there may be some stuck in the intake tract making starting tough. if you do get it fired up, take it for a good long drive and clear its throat. |

Also don't forget to change your oil after doing the water treatment. Usually just a pre-cautionary measure but for what it may prevent may be well worth it.

As I stated above I did do the flooded procedure. Anyway, the car runs fine now. I think I just killed the battery trying to start it.. or maybe it cooled down and that helped or just letting the oil sit in the housing helped either way. I started it up and let it run for a minute I couldn't take it out because I'm now trapped in the drive way.
Could a moderator delete this thread because I don't want to have any f.u.d. about this water injection. Because I believe under normal circumstances it wouldn't do this it was probably just where the oil was washed off the rotor so it lost it's compression.

Yeah, well I've figured it out now. But yeah anyway, I would only be hesitant because it's me.. There was a guy behind me even closer and in view of the jail more so that every day for a few months would lift his hand brake and sit the for 30 minutes burning out his neon.. then on the weekends fix it to do it again. the smoke from the tires and the noise was much much louder that me. And this guy would also do this and any time of the day and sometimes night.

ha yeah thanks, I plan on doing it once more before my oil change since I've been told I should do one. I'm not saying this one time did anything major but it does sound a little different and I do feel something but nothing significant atm. It could be were I put my TPS back where kevin said it should be (by looks) not by ohms because it's way off if you look at the ohms.. Which I have a question about that anyway.
Since I put my TPS back to were it's unscrewed til a few threads are showing out of the bottom My car starts with out to problem but now I have a 1500 bucking, decel bucking and a sound happening in my exhaust. Also it takes for ever for it to idle at 750 instead of 1000 or more. I'm looking for a TPS now.
