ted the question then would be the break! LOL having to do wiring and the like on jet doesn't mean i really want to do it on the car. But thanks for the info and I will hunt for it this weekend.

Easy test...
Disconnect the wire off the sender...
Does this change the way the gauge reacts?
I bet it doesn't.

On the good side, it's just a single wire going straight to the gauge cluster.
If you want to rewire it, just run a single wire straight to the back of the instrument cluster.

Yep your right it doesn't do anything. I have to work all weekend. Got to love the navy, so next weekend I will try to run a new wire and connect things back up. Ted thanks!!!
