Make sure these products are FD specific please. That being said...
All of these thoughts are for a street FD that is still on twins. I would say the best things you can do to an FD is open the exhaust and intake, and install a Power FC. Make sure you increase your fuel(walbro or denso supra FP and 1300cc secondaries will be suffcient) and upgrade your intercooler if you start to turn up the boost. Where does it in? haha. Favorite Intake: M2 or custom fabricated(as long as it has a heat shield and ducting for air) Favorite Exhaust: HKS Carbon ti, great tone, looks good, and is very affordable Favorite Midpipe: Custom with borla XR1 welded in Favorite Downpipe: HKS, best fit hands down. Sure it's made of mild steel, but I have had mine on my red car for 8 years without an issue. Favorite ECU: Power FC, easily installed and keeps your engine from going boom. Very user friendly, especially thanks to people like Chuck Westbrook and Wargasm. Favorite spring/strut combo: Eibach springs with Tokico 5 way Illumina's Favorite dual purpose street/track coilovers: Tein Flex/HA Favorite SMIC: M2/ASP Medium, or custom. Same thing as long as you have proper ducting. Bar and Plates are not rocket science.

One of the worst products I have used was the Greddy Profec B Spec II. On paper it looked great: Two boost settings, a cool blue display, warning and auto boost limit, boost display in both metric and standard units, etc. Maybe it was because it was one of the first ones in the country or something was wrong with it, but I could not get it to hold consistent boost. In back to back boost tests I would get something different every time. I spent about a month messing with it before going back to my old Profec B. I wish I had gone with an SBCID or DSBC instead. Further, I later found out that the Spec II "may have trouble with fast spooling turbos" I had a 35R at the time. Find it funny that shortly after they released the Spec S. Anyone else haver problems with the Spec II?
2nd worst product was the Apexi N1 Dual exhaust. Again, on paper it looked good: Twin aggressive looking outlets, removable silencers, high temp coating on the piping. In reality it fits like crap, melts the rear valence, sounds terrible, and rusts. The best thing that ever happened with it was when I ran over something and bent one of the canisters. I gave it away to some kid and replaced it with a Greddy SP.

Best:
Bought a Profec to control spikes and creep. It kept the engine from going boom until I could figure out what was wrong with the car. Worst: Bought an Ebay strut tower brace. Does nothing.
