Looking to learn the in's and out's of carb tuning

I have had a lot of experience with EFI setups but have never really messed with a carb (other than simple dirtbike carbs and single jet R/C carbs). I just bought a 83 GSL and would like to make sure my carb is tuned properly. Anyone know somewhere where I can start getting some good info or know of a good carb tuning book.

I hate to direct you to the "Evil forum" but Sterling has a few writeups in the first gen archives that are very helpful. He knows his stuff so read there first.

http://www.wankel.net/~krwright/file...01979-1985.pdf Very helpful text. As for books, Holley has put out a few good books that explain how automotive carburetors work. |

Thanks for the link...most appreciated. I'll be doing a tune up as soon as I get my gas tank that I cleaned and resealed today back in the car.
