It looked so simple at first! (or RX7.5) Part 2
Let's see if we can revive any traffic here.
OK Steve, here is an update finally. (if you didn't catch it on the other forum). My other thread was closed from me being an idjit for too long, so I had to start a new one. It's still marked in my signature for anyone that wants to see old news. After taking care of my ongoing life issues, getting resettled, and finally getting a fire lit under my a$%, I dug out my favorite toy after 10 years or so and started again. I decided to go a different route with it this time. I have always loved the IMSA GTU/GTO widebody cars, so I decided to do a lookalike for street use. I have swapped in front and rear RX8 subframes, an S2 Renesis engine with the 6 speed transmission, the body kit is done and being shipped to me, plus I installed a roll cage. If anyone is still interested, I will post more pictures. Eat your heart out kiddies, I have my own jungle gym. ![]() ![]() and a quick view of current condition. ![]() body kit done and being shipped. ![]()

Kit fitted. The rear fender wheel openings have been modified with the original lip from the steel quarter panel and opened up for 26" wheels and tires. Back in the day they ran 15s so the opening was too small. The opening had to be opened about an inch on each side and 3 1/2+" on top. With the flares moved up another 3/4" or so, my existing wheels should fit fine.

Front and rear tires. Trying the Vitour Tempesta P1s in 315/30ZR18 front and 345/30ZR18 rear tires. 12.5" and 14.5" section widths respectively on 11" and 13" wheels.
