Yeah the lodge is a good 30 minutes from the dragon (or longer) but its a great drive
depending on the route you take. You want to be close to the lodge, not the dragon. Besides its all about the driving anyway, so stop whining  Its not unusual to fill the car up 2 times each day for me.
