FSM Switch Terminology Question

He's referencing Section T, pages 22-23 in the FSM, which I guess is also copied in the Haynes Manual. From what I've found, Gunny is correct, "E" is ground. I assume "E" stands for "Earth," which is another way to refer to ground that appears to be popular in Japanese literature.

To C. Ludwig's point the "(x)" listed next to wire colors designates the harness or sub-harness that wire is part of. "(E)" being the emissions harness.
