Pressure in the manifold will be a cumulative of manifold and tail pipe pressure. It will always be higher than tailpipe pressure. If you're mapping your fuel map as a MAP v. EMAP, you'll need to know manifold pressure. Tail pipe pressure is useless for this calculation because it disregards manifold pressure. Monitoring tail pipe pressure is only useful in a sense that you want it to be as low as possible and therefore would want to know if it's relatively high.

Interesting... Wish I didn't know that now! I def intended to have EMAP as an input for my F88, but I don't know if I'll have space for both EGT AND EMAP bungs on both runners.

I feel like there would need to be a LOT of heat dissipation to keep from blowing out sensors if you took readings in the manifold as opposed to the DP..

Sometimes I think life would be more simple without knowledge (Ignorance is bliss and all that... lol)
