Just want to introduce myself. I've raced FC RX7s since 2000 and am currently building an e production FC convertible for SCCA. I am a retired Air Force Officer and have worked as an engineer building commercial dryers for the food and large scale production industries.

My current project is an 88 FC convertible that is being gutted and run as an open top car in SCCA E Production in the SE Division. I raced an 89 GTU in SCCA ITS for a number of years before building an F Production Miata. Now back on the RX7s. My timing was never great as 13B parts are getting a bit harder to find.

Will be looking for a 5:12 rear (maybe 4:88) in the near future. This week I'm fabricating the roll cage and working on cowl details.

Looking forward to learning more from the RX7 community.

Thanks

Welcome Ron. It's always good to have people that actually race these things around here. Very interested to see updates on your project.

You should come down to the Charlotte Cars and Coffee this Saturday. I plan on being there in my SA. Maybe some other rotor heads as well.

Default SCCA Race Car

This will be a slow project as I have a few other pressing priorities with my business and renovating our lake house.

Picked up the fuel safe fuel cell this week along with another set of wheels. I still need one set of convertible BBS wheels for rains.

Got the main hoop tack welded in and am working on the plates for the shock towers and front hoop. Headed to the track this weekend to help some friends in the double SARRC/MARRS series at Virginia International Raceway.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Rod
