For some reason the Reni doesn't play like other rotaries. Usually hot start is the sure fire kicker. Getting the uprated starter, changing the plugs and coils like underwear, and running any oil other than 5w30 is the key to keeping them playing nice.

But your right normally hard starting sluggish throttle and hunting idle are the normal death notes.
