Hey, I was referred here by a guy named Rob when I was buying some parts from him.

Currently I have a 1987 Turbo II with pretty mild mods. I picked it up from a friend about a month ago and plan to do a lot of cleanup and fixes on it over the summer. Then I'll have to decide whether to sell it or if I want to keep it for myself. I bought it with the intention of fixing it up and selling it, but it's been so much fun to drive that I'm not sure I'll let it go! ![]() DSC_0194 by Brent Strong, on Flickr It has just over 100k miles with an RTek 2.1 ECU, emissions delete, 2.5" downpipe, etc etc. Most things are pretty stock and will stay that way - I'm more interested in getting everything working properly before adding any more mods. Since I've gotten it, I've gotten the horn, AC, low washer fluid light, and low fuel light all back to their proper function. It's been an interesting few mysteries to solve and should fix most of the non-working stock bits on the car. Up next is getting a working stock oil pressure gauge (currently using a mechanical gauge as a temporary solution), getting the injectors cleaned and flow tested, and getting the S5 turbo swapped onto the car. About 5 or 6 years ago, I also had an FD which I did an LS1 swap into. That was hands-down the most fun car I've ever owned or driven. What a beast! I'd love to build another someday! ![]() DSC_8937 by Brent Strong, on Flickr |

Yup, and rx7club as well. I was the one on tennspeed asking about getting this car through the smog checks. I decided not to try anything crazy yet...hoping to borrow a cat from a friend and make it through the traditional way.

Thanks everyone! Does anyone know off-hand whether there is a tech writeup on fixing the FC low fuel level sensor? I found a writeup for an AE86 and did my own walkthrough that is more FC-specific. Basically it's a $1 part and about 2hrs of work instead of spending $100+ on a whole new fuel sender assembly. I'd be happy to post it in some appropriate tech section here if it isn't redundant.
