Default Non v-8 piston engine swaps in a FB

Well I have been out of the mazda game for a while and I am about to pick up a 83 gsl as a project for the wife and I. I know some of you might not agree with the idea of a piston swap but to each is own. Dose anyone know of any other easy swaps for the FB? Almost everything i find on swapped FB's are v8's and i would like to just not go there. I was thinking of maybe something along the lines of a turbo I6 (1jzgte, Rb26dett, ect). I can find them all day swapped in FC's but no luck for the FB. I am looking for something not extremely hard to do. I am no fabricator by any means so the easier the better. Thanks!

Try a 4g63 swap, parts are fairly cheap, you can find them in most salvage yards & have good power potential.

How about an F20 from the S2K. I believe with some minor modifications that the motor should bolt up to the FB tranny.
