Body shop F#$$% my 8 up!
I took my car in to have dents removed, repainted, clear bra and spoiler added.
Well this is what they did to my car. Scratches in the paint from where they tried to "buff" it, Paint scratched off both door handles, scratches in the plastic strip at the bottom of the window and scratches on the glass too! It looks like they stuck a rock in the buffer and went over my car with it! So they told me to come back next Tuesday and they will fix what they did and they are not going to charge me for the spoiler. Im still so mad I could cry! After the weekend I had this was the last thing I needed. I was so excited to be picking her up after not having her for 2 weeks and this happens! |

and this was done by a body shop? i think i'd take it elsewhere and send them the bill. those scratches look more like something caused by a d/a sander and not a buffer.

Thats what someone else said.. They said it looks like its under the paint into the metal. The guy told me to bring it back Tuesday and they would have it back to me in an hour?! I dont think so. They have my spoiler there so I do have to go back to get it. They had my car for nearly 3 weeks as it is and this is what I got back. I talked to my insurance company already, I have pictures to show the damage so Im goign to give them a second chance to fix it and if they dont fix everything right I will take them to court.

I don't see those scratches being caused by a rotary or d/a polisher.
Body shops aren't always the best. I had to take my 6 in to get some tree sap removed (brand new, they put their new cars that aren't on the lot under a bunch of oak trees) and the body shop returned it hologrammed to hell. It looked like a magician got a hold of it when the sun hit it. Suffice it to say, Mazda traded me out for a different 6.

Sooo I just got back.. and I am PISSED! The hood looks great, the door handles look great, they put my spolier on YAY.. But he driver side door looks all scratched up and I can only assume that they messed up the clear coat on the passenger side door.. The doors where fine!!! I didnt ask them to do anything to the doors and they had to go and mess with them! Te pasenger side door has this huge hazy spot that looks like they globbed clearcoat on it.. Oh and the spolier well the sides of it look like crap too.... So Im letting them replace my window Tuesday then Im taking her straight to the insurance companies office to show them how F'ed up my car looks... My poor baby (

Try taking some QD (quick detailer) and hitting up the area then wiping it off with a microfiber cloth.
