The motor looks pretty stock to me.
Did you buy it from AutoEXE?
Or is the engine hiding a bunch of goodies inside?

Force13b, I noticed I didn't post pics of the car after I posted. Whoops. haha Here it is through some stages before the tear down & build started.

When I first got her.

Installed FEED kit + new VR paint.

Here she is 2-3 months ago. Sitting comfortably in the garage.
I started to install the RE-Amemiya ADGT kit and re-paint the car black, but really didn't like the fact that the door jams and engine bay were a different color. So, that's when I tore her apart and began the never ending part collection process. haha

The plan now is to start fresh. Media blast the entire car. Quiet Coat the interior, and POR the underside.
I'm also no longer painting it black, but will leave the new color a secret until it's finished.

Ted, AutoEXE used to build new 3 rotors, but have since stopped. I purchased this from Japan2LA who was holding it for himself to build his own 3 rotor one day.

AutoEXE, did the following:
Built from ALL BRAND NEW PARTS
Brand New C and D code spec 4mm thicker dowel pin land side plates
Brand New OEM mazda E-shaft
Brand New LIM, UIM,TB, ELbow
Brand NEW Twins
Brand NEW FD3S Rotor housings (Built in Japan after 20B rotor housing NLA)
Brand New Staygears
Brand New rotors
Brand New oil pan and pick up tube
ETC... ETC.. ETC..
Plus all the Autoexe upgrades internally (porting)

Did you hit the lottery or something? Holy shit lol. The new interior probably cost as much as the 20B lol.

No lottery, unfortunately. Just a passion for doing things right. My girlfriend would say it's an obsession though. Thankfully, she has her own "obsession" that I support her through. It equals out.

I know all about obsession, I self-diagnosed that for myself already haha. Admitting you have a problem is the first step, blah blah blah LOL. Screw that, just hand me that wrench. lol

Wow, that is one helluva find.
Like speedjunkie already said...I'd be scared to look at the numbers on the receipts for these items!
Good luck with the build!

Eric & Ted, I justify it by telling myself "At least I'm not spending the money on liquor or drugs." haha Mostly though, the build has given me a lot of experience with cars that my future employers will look for. I plan on finding a job in the automotive industry when I graduate next June, so this will only help me.

Got some more stuff in from Japan & from the polishers!

FEED Halogen Turn Lamps

RE-Amemiya Scuff Plates

Attain Rear Bumper Guard

Super*Now Sway Bar Mounts

R-Magic Skull Rotor Sticker
(I've always wanted this)

Test fitting the turn lamps on my RE-Amemiya 05 ADGT full carbon front bumper.

Test fitting the lens covers.

GTX4294R Compressor Cover

Dry-sump Front cover

I also purchased a full set of pillow-ball suspension bushings from Super*Now over in Japan, which will have to wait to be installed until I get my next purchase from Summit. After that all that will be needed is electronics, motor build, body work. =D

I got a few quotes for media blasting all the control arms, and having the bushings pressed in for me, but it makes a lot more sense to just do it myself, even though I probably won't use the shop equipment afterwards unless I build another car after this. hmmm. Maybe a MKIV Supra or NSX.

Thank you, I appreciate it. If I won the lottery though, she'd have been done a long time ago.
