93, silver/black, 5 speed, 127k miles, fresh rebuild $8990.00

Year: 1993
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-7
Price: $8990
Mileage: 127533
Color: Silver
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TN
Clear Title

1993 Silver on Black Base Model, 127k miles, Original 5 speed, Fresh Rebuild with about 15 miles on it at this time, Non Sequential, Black Leather Seats, Cross Drilled and Slotted Brembos, Aftermarket Fuel Pump, 3" Downpipe, Resonated 3" Midpipe, Apexi N1 Dual Tip, Pettit Ast(Not installed), Emissions Deleted, After Market CD player, Ugly Ebay Headlights. $8,990.00 Cheap Huh?

This is a car I purchased from a friend/customer after I already installed the engine but before I had the car running/finished. I would have done things differently had I bought the car before building the engine. Built the engine with new 2mm 2 piece Atkins Apex Seals, New apex seals springs, New side seal springs, new corner seals springs, new corner seal rubber inserts, new viton oil control rings, new front and rear main seals, atkins thermal pellet. This is not one of my higher end builds, the housings that were used I would call good but not great, same for the irons. As of now the car has a couple hours run time and about 15 miles on it. Car starts fine but is a little slower than I would like to see on hot starts(this will drastically improve as the car is driven). Engine was painted black and silver. This engine is still warrantied by me and I will explain more later in the post.

Exterior-New paint job about 2 years ago but it was as cheap of a base coat/clear paint job as is out there. There are a couple spots were there is some debri in the paint and I will post more pics of these areas as the forum allows. The car has never been wet sanded and buffed, it would benefit greatly if it was and overall you would have a pretty good looking fd but far from show quality. Car has the hideous ebay headlights but they work fine along with all the turn signals and brake lights. This is a base model so there is no sunroof. At some time in the cars past it had a FMIC and you can see where it let indentions pushing out on the front bumper(cant see in pics but they are there). The wheels were painted black at some point and whoever did it did a pretty good job, however black wheels is not my personal taste. The tires are 225/50/16s all around and are near new, maybe 2-3k miles on them. Brembo slotted and drilled rotors with the front calipers painted red. Once again, this is not a show quality car, a little bit of talented wet sanding and buffing and it would be a decent loolking car.

Interior- Black interior with leather seats. The driver seat bolster has the typical wear and has a decent size hole in it, the passenger seat is in excellent shape. The black carpet is in good shape but the floor mats are a little worn. Doors skins overall look good and the passenger door handle isnt even broken. There is a decent scratch on the passenger door handle trim though. The dash has some holes over on the passenger side where the previous owner apparently attempted to mount something there. I have a perfect dash that will be included with the car. I stole the factory base rear carpet for my personal fd so it now has a touring rear carpet that doesnt fit correctly that I had laying around. The car is also missing the passenger side kick panel to cover the ecu. The 93 plastics are in decent shape but not perfect. Overall the interior is nicer than most fds today minus the dash but not perfect.

Engine Bay-Engine is painted black and silver, stock port with Atkins 2mm seals with about 15 miles on it so far, I will drive the car and continue to put miles on it as time allows. Real Non-Seq conversion, stock ecu, Greddy Water Pump and Alt pulley for deleted air pump, Pettit AST is included but not installed, I think it has upgraded spark plug wires but I cant recall at the moment. The car runs smooth and has absolutely zero 3k hesitation and idles great and smooth. The engine really just needs some good interstate driving to get the compression up. It still hot starts and will not leave you stranded but just not what I am used to seeing from my builds. I used the 94 black crossover pipe and intake elbow as I think it makes the engine bay look much cleaner. Turbos smoke on cold start up for 4-5 minutes, nothing to clear out the neighborhood but they do smoke(few sets dont anymore). Once the car is driven the smoke clears up completely.

The bad-
1. Paint is not show quality but could be pretty decent with some wet sanding
2. Slight rear suspension clunk but overall the car rides great, better than 90% of the fds that are left on the road in ride quality.
3. Dash needs replaced but I have one that is included.
4. Front bumper has some indentions and there are some spots where the paint has debri in it throughout the car. Nothing noticeable from more than 5 feet away.
5. Turbos smoke on startup but not while driving and the smoke clears up pretty quick.
6. Rear Touring edition carpet does not fit correctly.
7. Ebay headlights
8. Missing underbelly pan but I may have one I can put on.
9. 99 spec tail lights not included, will come with stock taillights.
10. Tachometer sometimes does its own thing and reads high, works correctly about 80% of the time.
11. A/C is missing the condenser, dryer and a few small lines.

The good-
1. Fresh rebuild- Under warranty READ CLOSELY- Whenver this engine needs rebuilt the next time the labor is on me for free. You just have to buy the rebuild kit and replace any damaged parts, THE REBUILD LABOR IS COMPLETELY FREE.

2. Car runs really smooth
3. Sliver on Black Base model with Clear title.
4. Windows and all electronics to my knowledge work great.
5. Has some nice mods and really just needs and IC, ECU, and water/meth kit to be a fun fd to play with.
6. Did I mention the engine warranty?
7.Brembos
8. Supposed to have an upgraded fuel pump either Walbro or Supra I cant remember.
9. Original 5 speed car
10. Unbroken interior passenger door handle.

Overall I think this should be one of the best deals on the market for a clear title FD with a fresh rebuild. It needs some love here and there but could be a great weekend car or dd for someone with a little time. This car should be able to drive you anywhere you want to go.

Feel free to call or pm me, Im not always able to answer the phone so leave a voicemail. I will not take payments, if you need a loan check with a credit union, they still loan on these things.

If I remember there is some cutting/trimming however it is very minor. Stock headlights can be reinstalled with absolutely no problem.s

A long time rotary owner out of Gainesville purchased it on Sunday and drove it over 500 miles home. He is a member on the other forum.
