Hello all..
I happened to stumble upon these forums and they provide tons of great information. I just recently got my rx8 and I love it ( I really wanted an 3rd gen rx7, but cost too much for how old they are).
My only concern is tuning. I wanted rx7/8 so I can start learning how to tune, but it seems that everywhere I turn everyone says that its not worth it. Cold air intake? No worth it. Exhaust? Just for sound. Turbo/supercharger? Bajillion dollars. Love the car so any comforting/beneficial info would be awesome. |

If you think it costs a bazillion dollars to turbocharge an RX-8, price doing a GOOD single turbo conversion on an FD. Or anything else on an FD for that matter.
The RX-8 is a good car, but Mazda did all they could to squeeze out as much HP without boost as they could, some would say at the expense of reliability. Get an Accessport, that can help a little. If nothing else, you can put on a MAP that will get you extra MPG. Also, you can check and clear CEL's.
