				rx2 rack and pinion

Just wondering if anyone knows about what rack and pinion can go into the RX 2 without any problems - just making new brackets. I've heard about a Suzuki Swift and the 5.0 Mustang, but not sure because of experience. If anyone knows - please help out, trying to build show car.

Contact RE-Speed. He is a vendor here, and is all about the old school. He make R&P kits for first gens and has been working on older rotaries.

the rx2 is a whole different beast due to having two cross members. ReSpeed dont make one for the Rx2 and don't thing one will be coming soon due to the low volume.

So will you be getting a rack from Billy? I know he's starting work on parts for the early rotaries, so I figured he'd have a R&P for them before too long. .

if you have decednt fab skills. you can get rid of the sub frame completely. use tubing (square or round) welded or bolted to the frame to mount the engine and the steering rack. Then make some flanges to weld to the frame for the suspension. Its really not all that hard when you get down to it... plus the weight savings would be huge depending on material of choice.

I do not foresee us building a kit for the rx2 in the near future. Quote:
I am not saying it cant be done, just letting you know it takes allot. I spent over a year in prototyping before I had a product I wanted to sell. -billy | ||
