different coolant resivour caps?

i noticed that the one i had utilized two nipples. and when the engine got hot and pressurized, it puked coolant out the one nipple that i had connected to well, nothing.

i looked at my parts car and it was just a single inlet style from the same year car. I put that one on.

Whats that all about?

Weird, my 84 GS has a cheap-looking pop cap on the plastic bottle. I noticed when I bought the car that there was a ton of coolant on the underside of the hood, probably from that poorly designed cap. Does anyone know if there's something more sturdy to replace it with?

you could probably just adapt another overflow from a different car.
