Garfinkles Motor Works is on a distinguished road
Today I pulled the motor and tranny out to cut out the stock tranny mounts in the tunnel and sealed the gap between the cut and inner tunnel sheet metal. Now the motor /tranny can go father back in the frame than before .Next time I work on it I will pull off the oil pan and cut and section out the rear of the pan that will be sitting above the steering cross link. Doing this will allow the motor to sit lower in the car for better CG . I will be putting in my WORLD FAMOUS oil pan brace . I have already cut a set of my nylon motor mounts down in thickness so the sub frame will have good ground clearence .The mounts that will hold the sub frame/ motor mount is welded in place .I had a pro come to the shop and do that for me .An important part to be sure. The next job will be to make the sub frame and the new tranny mount .The designs are in my head and should work out very well .Then the motor will be bolted in .
