budget big brake kit finished
Ok, here it is
Last year (or even sometime before, who knows ![]() Got them basically for free. I started searching for some cheap brake rotors and ended up using BMW X5 rotors 330x30mm. Had to drill new holes for 114x,3 bolt pattern, but that was basically all. Adapters for fitting calipers were made by friend, steel and heavy, but it works.... Size of pistons in calipers does matter and pedal feel went shit. Time to upgrade to S5 TII brake booster and mazda 929 master cylinder. That fixed pedal feel a lot, removing brake balance valve put more pressure into rear brakes and car was ok to drive, but you could feel front is still too big compared to stock rear. This year, i got for free Mustang rear rotors, which are our bolt pattern and size 300x20mm. Making adapter for moving out stock caliper was all it needed and today i finally got it all mounted on the car, works without any problems so far, few trackdays will prove it soon ![]() Pictures of front : http://rx7cz.net/photos/workshop151/ http://rx7cz.net/photos/workshop153/ Pictures of rear : http://rx7.cz/gallery/?Qwd=./rearbra...v=thumbs&Qis=M |
