ac not keeping charge - got lucky - o-ring

man I got lucky. I bought my 94 that was converted over to R-135a when the reman was put in my the previous owner.

Well it wouldn't hold a charge over night, so a coworker who knows more about trouble shooting AC came over. We put in a can (w/ dye but that really didn't help) and used a stethoscope to hear where it was leaking.

I found the leak on the discharge hose fitting on the compressor. We took of the hose and o-ring. The oring wasn't in good shape--it was not round at all. We replaced the o-ring with one from auto zone and it seems to be doing well.

I am happy something that could have been a major pain was a simple $4.00 fix (+$6 for R-134a).
