Spirit R/RZ style Passenger Footrest Pre-production Sale
Anyone who has rode in the passenger seat of the FD3S realizes the passenger foot well does not provide any support for your feet. Mazda was kind enough to provide an oh-sh*t handle for the 255hp FD, but when they upped the power to 280hp for the Spirit R and RZ models in Japan, they realized that passengers would have a much harder time staying in place hence the creation of the passenger foot rest/brace. Unfortunately Mazda only made these for Japan-only RHD FD’s for the high-power variants. As we know many FD’s in the states make much more than 280hp!! Not only are the RHD footrests extremely rare in Japan, they also will not fit the LHD footwell. We created a footrest that not only fits LHD cars, but also closely matches the styling of the RHD footrests.
Highlights:
Pricing/Timing: We've been working with a new manufacturer to reduce production costs while not sacrificing strength or quality. We are running a pre-production sale to offer even greater savings. Once we begin shipping orders the sale will be over! $120 (normally $145). To Purchase: Please click the link below for further details. We are expecting to being shipping the footrests in the next few weeks Link ---> FD3S LHD Passenger Foot Rest - SakeBomb Garage Here's a little video we took demonstrating the strength of our latest design There's a 165lb man attached to those shoes and as you can see the footrest flexes slightly but returns to it's shape once he steps off. You'd have to seriously scare the bejeezus out of your passenger to damage this footrest! Enjoy! Test: FD3S RX-7 passenger footrest (LHD) - YouTube We also have a second view showing he wasn't holding onto anything to offset his weight. -Dan SakeBomb Garage Last edited by SBGarage; 07-31-2013 at 12:30 PM.. |
