I'm not aware of any Mazda collaboration efforts with Porsche, so I think this is probably just a regular RX7 from that era with a body kit. This guy's story doesn't pass the giggle test - why would Mazda want to collaborate with a competitor?

That said, it still might be a nice find but I'd be very skeptical about the car's collector value. Ask the guy for documentation of the car's history & pedigree - trust but verify! Lots of pictures would help the folks here identify what you're looking at.
