I dunno why anyone would trade down for a 1st gen (even though it's a GSL-SE), unless they were feeling nostalgic?
Rack & pinion versus recirculating ball steering IRS versus live rear axle Sure, the 1st gen is lighter, but the FC is just a better package overall. The FC 13B engines were basically bulletproof versus anything that came in a 1st gen. Mazda really worked out the kinks out of the 13B with the FC engines. -Ted
